Dr. Prasun Kumar Das
Dr. Das holds a PhD in Agricultural Sciences (with a specialization in Agronomy / Post-harvest Management), an MBA in Financial Management, and certification in banking & finance (CAIIB).
Over his more than 25-year career, he’s held senior roles with various international, regional, and national organizations. Prior to his current position, he was Project Manager on IFAD-supported regional initiatives, Research Director for DFID-funded programmes, and served with FAO as a Rural Finance Specialist. He also has experience working in commercial banking, supporting institutional policies, value chain finance, financial inclusion, and agribusiness development.
Through his leadership at APRACA, he works with member institutions across the Asia-Pacific region to build capacity in sustainable rural finance solutions, including innovations in value chain finance, financial inclusion, agriculture-nutrition linkages, and climate-sensitive approaches.
