Ezra Anyango is a seasoned expert in the field of financial inclusion, with several decades of experience in management, consulting, governance, and regulation—especially in Africa. Ezra has a rich history of working with NGOs, government bodies, and private finance institutions in Africa. Some highlights:

• With CARE International, in East & Southern Africa, he helped to establish two microfinance institutions (MFIs) which became regulated.
• With DAI (Development Alternatives Inc.), he worked in East & West Africa on multiple assignments, e.g. as Chief of Party for the USAID/MicroPED project in Kenya, and part of the restructuring team for Tanzania’s National Microfinance Bank (NMB).
• He was Country Director for FINCA Malawi, where he pushed for SME lending and agricultural lending products.
• He served as an advisor to the Government of Kenya’s National Treasury on microfinance policy & regulation.
• Served on boards, for example representing the Government of Kenya at FSD Kenya (Financial Sector Deepening Kenya) during his advisory role.
